Placenote SDK lets you quickly build cloud-based Augmented Reality (AR) apps that pin digital content to locations in the real world. Keep reading to learn how it works.
Placenote currently supports any ARKit enabled iOS device. Android support will be coming soon.
Device Type | Supported Models | OS Version |
---|---|---|
iPhone | 6s, 6s Plus, 7, 7 Plus, SE, 8, 8 Plus, X and higher | iOS 11 - 13.0 |
iPad | Pro, 2017 (9.7-inch, 10.5-inch, 12.9-inch) | iOS 11 - 13.0 |
Placenote does not need GPS, markers or beacons for position tracking. Instead, it lets users dynamically scan any space and turn it into a trackable map for positioning digital content. No infrastructure needed.
Users scan their surroundings with their phone camera to capture a 3D map.
Once mapped, any digital content placed in the area will be saved, to reload or share with others.
Placenote makes it easy for developers to deploy AR apps on a cloud platform built specifically for 3D map management and sharing.
We know that building AR apps is hard work. Placenote includes several sample apps and a simulator to help reduce development time.
